University of Toronto Scarborough is popularly known as U of T Scarborough or UTSC.

Situated back in 1964 as Scarborough College of the faculty of Arts and Science, the institution was developed into a mid-size university in 1972. The academic classification comprised of variety of undergraduate studies in disciplines of management, arts and science. Within this short period of time, this university has been able to earn the respect and trust of the native and foreign students as well and all these haves become possible because of few core principles of this institution – good education, better atmosphere, apt guidance etc.


The Campus

The Scarborough University is situated on a 123 hectares campus land. The first completed building on the campus is The Andrews Building which was named after its designer and that definitely holds an emblem of great art work. The interior of the campus is made to just mimic the streets of any city with large and wide open hallways and balconies on the upper floors. The building is divided into two wings which are commonly known as the Science Wings and the Humanities Wings and there is a large meeting place at the center of both these wings which is generally used to hold big events in the campus.


The academics

Having a degree from the University of Toronto Scarborough will help a student pave the way for his/her future success. The University is renowned for offering the required academic rigor to the undergraduate and graduate students and combining that with innovative experimental opportunities and a wide range of programming on arts, science, management and teacher education. Since it is primly an undergraduate institution, it receives most of its direct-entry admissions from the three of its campuses which have 13 academic departments. And there are two extra departmental units as well namely – The French and Linguistics and Center for Critical Development Studies.


Student facilities

To offer an excellent academic atmosphere to the students of the university, the campus is designed with all the latest and updated facilities. It is a three-story building with 48,000 Sq-Ft of area and the office of the Scarborough Campus Student’s Union is also situated in this building. Moreover, the campus is decorated with television lounge, food court, health and wellness center and of course, multi faith prayer room. The bookstore of the university campus is also worth watching. It is comprised of all types of educational and inspirational books and lots of other types of books are also there in the bookstore.
